‹‹inet-News 10/2007›› Information technology is clearly one today’s most dynamic sectors. Here customers truly appreciate being able to build on proven solutions and place their confidence in a trusting business relationship. Both of these characteristics are embodied in the name inet-logistics and the logistics-server®. We can feel good about making such statements not only because our customers tell us so, but because they say the same even when we are not present. How do we know this? We hear it when interested prospects call us and we ask how they learned about the logistics-server®. Our customers’ recommendations are an important factor of our success, which we gladly cultivate and expand through consistent customer orientation efforts and an innovative product policy rooted in meeting the real needs of those who drive the world of logistics. How do we benefit from this? Through a multitude of new experiences and customer projects we are happy to report to you about. But read for yourself! |

‹‹inet-News 07/2007›› This year, we have been spared summer heat up until now. Nonetheless, cool chains, as well as many other transport chains, need seamless sensorial monitoring, if the quality of the goods is to be as high after they have been transported as it was before. A rainy summer reminds us all that not only heat and dust, but also other influences, such as moisture, can have lasting negative effects on the quality of medicines, paper and other transported goods.
We have therefore promoted RFID to the Feature of the Month in this issue of the inet-News RFID – a technology about which a lot has now been written, but for which, nonetheless, complete conceptual solutions still have to be worked out. Complete tracking of transport chains and their monitoring by means of sensor technology is certainly predestined to be a domain of application. In combination with the logistics-server® there are well-engineered, practical approaches to solutions. But intelligent tracking and tracing can be created by the software not only with RFID, as we will show you with the example of OMV. But read about it yourself! |

‹‹inet-News 04/2007›› It doesn’t always take a serious transport accident as seen recently on the river Rhine to get people in charge of a company’s logistics in a sweat. Often all it takes is the simple request to deliver goods over long distances on time while adhering to increasingly stringent legal frameworks and an unchanged transport budget. Or merely the assurance of quality in consultation...
A task that one person frequently considers the same as trying to square the circle is for another person something that can be solved through the intelligent use of information technology and corresponding negotiations with other supply chain partners who are soon convinced by sound arguments in favour of the multiple benefits of optimised transport tasks within inter-corporate logistics networks. In order to provide you with the right arguments during your daily work we are using this inet-News to report again in more detail on the success that our customers have experienced with the logistics-server®. Such companies have succeeded in making their complex supply chain execution process an integral part of their holistic planning and control processes. |
