Thanks to the company-wide optimisation of its transport management, Murexin AG will in future be reducing its transport and freight costs. The inet-logistics Web-based software solution arranges operational transport planning and billing simply and efficiently.

July 2, 2008 - Murexin AG, a supplier to the building industry based in Wiener Neustadt, delivers its customers' orders using its own fleet as well as external carriers. Here, the optimal utilisation of its own fleet, operational tour planning and the selection of the most effective service provider constitute the fundamental challenges. Efficient freight cost controlling and consideration of the actual costs per customer order were also items for review.

By deploying the inet-logistics software solution, Murexin will in future be handling the planning and analysis of their entire transport requirements using the "Transport Management" product at their Wiener Neustadt location, as well as at their branch at Linz. This guarantees the efficient control of all shipments required, with optimal utilisation and tour planning of their own fleet, as well as system-supported selection and commissioning of the most favourable service provider for such orders that cannot be handled by their own fleet.

The "Freight Cost Management" product also supports freight cost billing, which provides information about all current and billed freight costs in total, as well as by customer order. Furthermore, freight cost simulation simplifies the advance selection of the most suitable service provider, on the basis of agreed conditions. Non-agreed costs are therefore a thing of the past, thanks to 100% checking.
