The Fraunhofer Institute for material flow and logistics consults businesses of all fields and sizes regarding questions about material flow and logistics. As a consulter Fraunhofer IML offers support with new tasks and requirements, as a researcher the institute works together with its customers on new solutions. As a planer it helps with the optimization of internal and external logistics and as a developer it puts the solutions into practice in the form of software and hardware. The Fraunhofer IML builds on business-specific, tailor-made solutions and accompanies its costumers from the design all the way to the implementation.

The Institute for commercial information technology develops scientifically verified solutions to strategic questions in commercial technology. These solutions evolve in close cooperation with our research partners. These include leading businesses from Switzerland, Germany and Austria. They are being enabled to recognize the potentials of information technology early, to evaluate them and subsequently translate them into specific commercial value. The Institue‘s focus on sound scientific research and practical relevance is reflected in the organization which continuously faces commercial business requirements.

As one of the largest independent research centers in Austria in the field of Software, the Software Competence Center Hagenberg (SCCH) is in a pioneer role regarding technological research and trends in the field of software. The SCCH portfolio comprises the following three areas: Software Engineering and Technology, Database Technology and Knowledge-Based Technology. The SCCH concentrates and integrates national and international scientific competencies and expands its contacts project -and future oriented to scientists and institutes within and across country-borders. Thus, at the moment SCCH cooperates with research facilities from Austria, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, The Czech Republic and the USA.
