inet for Automotives

This year, inet.-logistics GmbH is focused on their product development and sales-oriented activities specially on the needs of companies from automotive industry

(Verkehr Beilage Logistik 05.2006) Some automotive manufacturers and suppliers display a large interest in the integrated solutions of the standard software logistics-server® which continuously automates all tasks which are related to the planning, monitoring and execution of cross-company transport processes. inet-logistics possesses in this area comprehensive professional experience as a result of the long-lasting collaboration with customers from the automotive industry such as Magna Steyr Automotive Engineering, Veritas and Schefenacker.

At the moment there is a special interest at the market for automation solutions for the fields loading device management and pickup process. Only recently Magna has contracted the software house for the extension of the existing installation by one component for the IT-support of inbound transports; the supplier SAS uses inet-logistics´ software for optimising its loading device management. "The automotive industry is like hardly any other branch the driving force for exploiting potentials which increase the efficiency through the automation of cross-company transport processes," says Oswald Werle, CEO of inet-logistics. "This automation can not be realised anymore through extensions of the existing ERP-software. It is rather the case that people recognise that only integrated supply-chain-executive systems such as the logistics-server® make the complexity of linked up logistics systems controllable." At the moment inet is negotiating contracts with several companies and it is expecting to conclude five to ten important contracts this year. "The efficiency wave in the logistics-IT will be rolling in this year," says Werle confidently.
