(wallstreet-online.de, finanznachrichten.de, de.news.yahoo.com, medienhandbuch.de, presseportal.de, softlook.de 06.2006) inet-logistics GmbH, a leading provider of supply chain execution-solutions, and the field supply chain management by the management- and technology consultancy BearingPoint GmbH, decided to join in a solution and distribution partnership. The goal of the partnership is to integrate the solution suite logistics-server® by inet-logistics into the consulting portfolio of BearingPoint especially in regards to projects which deal with the optimisation of inbound logistics processes in companies from Germany. Together the two companies aspire to position themselves as innovation and solution leaders within important domains of the transport logistics sector.

The consulting projects in the field supply chain management of BearingPoint will focus on the improvement of development processes as well as opening up saving potentials, perhaps through structural and organisational changes in the company. For the necessary analysis of the actual state of affairs, BearingPoint uses the consulting tool "fitness-check" which will make use of the functionalities of the logistics-server® in the future. The software analyses, while checking the freight cost structures and pointing out optimisation potentials, individual agreements between the shipper and the logistics service provider. Furthermore, the software provides functions by means of which it is possible to organise a company´s inbound logistics processes in a permanently transparent and cost-efficient way. "We became acquainted with inet-logistics as an ambitious and effective market acting company that uses its skills in the fields of logistics and information technology in order to consistently develop the truly technically mature standard software for supply chain execution," explains Donald Wachs, managing director of the BearingPoint GmbH, the motives of the consulting house for cooperating with the Austrian software house. "The partnership with BearingPoint proves that, when we clearly defined the company`s orientation last year and consequently focused on the development of a standard software solution, we took the right step towards scalability and growth," comments Markus Krüger, Head of Key Account Management & Marketing at inet-logistics.
