(DVZ Deutsche Logistik-Zeitung 10.2006) The provider inet-logistics has further developed its solution "logistics-server". Thus, the transport management from now on includes functionalities for an operative route planning and for the route optimization. Furthermore, the software house presents its "Shipment Localisation Kits" which have been developed in cooperation with the research establishment VResearch which also brought in its professional knowledge. By means of these kits it is possible to record status information during the transport process even on the individual shipment level via Radio Frequency IDentification (RFID). These data get transferred to the "logistics-server".

The solution transport management automates the transport planning and scheduling and the transport assignment. It provides an automatic, rule-based scheduling. According to the provider, the solution can increase the utilisation rate of the transport means and reduce the work for the scheduler permanently. Incorrect transports and resulting risks can be avoided to a large extent.
