Shipment Localisation Kit

The Shipment Localisation Kit uses RFID-transponders which get attached to the goods already during packaging. The goods issue gets recorded via RFID-reading-stations and gets transferred by means of a GSM-module per GPRS to the solution transport management. When the shipment arrives at reloading points and at the final destination the shipment gets recorded automatically again.

For the active shipment monitoring during the transport, RFID-technology gets used in connection with the tracking systems GPS or GSM. Here the combination with GPS is more exact outside tunnels and warehouses than the use of GSM. Tracking via GSM on the other hand ensures - if the proper infrastructure is available - acomplete shipment tracking which requires relatively little money. The deviation from the exact location of the goods amounts to a maximum of approximately 400 meters. The actual driving routes can be tracked in GoogleEarth decidedly.

The Shipment Localisation Kit which includes GSM- / GPS- and RFID-components depending on the respective requirements, is available as complete solution and can be also integrated seamlessly into existing logistics-server®-environments, for example also for the monitoring of cool chains.
